  • Chorioamnionitis is defined as maternal fever with at least 1 of the following symptoms: leukocytosis, tenderness of the uterus, fetal tachycardia, foul-smelling amniotic fluid. Antenatal steroids are any number of doses of steroids for induction of fetal lung maturation. PPROM indicates preterm premature rupture of the membranes; IUGR, intrauterine growth retardation.
