The question "Why don't general pediatricians accept the use of oral rehydration?" comes up repeatedly. There's a simple answer. We do. The problem is kids don't. They don't like the taste of the oral rehydration solutions and I don't blame them. I've tried it, in sickness and in health. The stuff tastes like lightly sugared sea water.
