However, as discussed by these authors, the fluctuating and self-limited course of these disorders makes the efficacy of any drug difficult to demonstrate. Benign dominant hereditary chorea of early onset has a chronic course and, most adult patients, even welladjusted ones, have persistent motor impairment.
