Abstract
Circulating HIV-1 virus can be identified in all stages of HIV-1 infection by QC-PCR, which is a dramatically more sensitive method than virus culture and standard p24 antigen assays. Quantitation of HIV-1 in plasma by QC-PCR may be useful in assessing the efficacy of antiretroviral agents.
