Abstract
The data from this study suggests that diminished GCR binding affinity may in part be responsible for poor steroid responsiveness in those asthmatics with SR asthma. This defect is an acquired and reversible phenomena which is likely the result of exposure to cytokines (IL-2 and IL-4) involved in the pathogenesis of asthma.
