Abstract
Outpatient anaphylaxis was evaluted in 35 patients who had had 44 reactions, all occurring after allergy immunotherapy administration. After resolution of anaphylaxis, patients were discharged home with instructions to return to the clinic or the hospital emergency room if symptoms recurred. None of these individuals were treated with oral corticosteroids after the initial phase of anaphylaxis. The inpatient group consisted of 59 patients who were admitted to the ward or intensive care unit for anaphylaxis.
