Abstract
To the Editor.—
I wish to express some concerns about the article by Pinilla and Birch which detailed how to teach young infants to sleep through the night.1As the authors stated in their introduction, making infants sleep through the night at an early age has become one of the major goals of parenting in the US. Parents are told that this is necessary so they can return to work and experience minimal disruption in their real lives.
