Abstract
The points outlined by Rosenberg and Kisson in their Letter-to-the-Editor regarding our CPR study are interesting comments that reflect personal views and biases associated with their experience with this problem.
Their first point mentions that our survival data following CPR attempts exceeds that which is in the literature. We acknowledged that in our literature review. However, our study demonstrated a 46% reported survival statistic.
The second point regarding the potential for parents to initiate CPR erroneously was not indicated as an issue by any of the respondents in our study.
