Abstract
Two million dollars for two whales. I couldn't help thinking about how much I could do with one-tenth of that. I could fully immunize 30,000 kids and treat 10,000 major diseases with $200,000.
I suppose one's priorities depend on one's perspective, and if you don't have children dying in front of you and don't know that they are dying like flies, then the fate of two poor little whales brought into your sitting room from a remote cold coast with all the drama and immediacy of television suddenly has enormous importance.
