Abstract
To the Editor.—
We believe we have identified a new syndrome that may be of practical interest to those who care for adolescents. We present two case reports.
Case 1. This 14-year-old female student complained of low back pain and tenderness, which she had experienced for 2 months, since her return to school in September. On examination, there were no findings but the location of the pain was determined to be the coccyx. On questioning, she acknowledged wearing tight blue jeans with heavy reinforced seams to school.
