Abstract
To the Editor.—
The following statement has been approved by the majority of faculty members of the Department of Pediatrics of Northwestern University Medical School and The Children's Memorial Hospital.
"Recently issued federal regulations called for posting of signs and provision of `hot lines' to report cases where treatment is withheld from handicapped infants. Such regulations implied that a widespread campaign exists whereby hospitals and physicians secretly decide who should survive. In fact, no such sinister campaign exists.
