Abstract
In response to the letter from Dr. Miller, we feel we should make a few points about our commentary, "Food for Inefficient Thought."
Your correspondent somehow implies that we were not hard enough on the study of Conners et al. with respect to food additives. This is clearly a very charged issue at the moment, and it seems important to take a very sober and fair look at the factors involved. The study should really be regarded as the first of a series of organized and disciplined approaches to the problem.
