Abstract
The authors would concur with Dr. Fisher that the CAT should be utilized primarily in patients with persistent focal seizure disorders, or those that are associated with progressive neurologic dysfunction. As the study showed, even in patients with chronic seizure disorders, the incidence of abnormalities which alter management is very low. The demonstration of abnormalities explaining the etiology of the seizures was high (30%), but management was not altered on the basis of these findings.
