Abstract
This book attempts to present a complicated subject in a simple manner to help parents of allergic children in their understanding and care of allergic diseases. It encounters the major problems of all medical books written for the layman in trying to outline diagnosis and treatment in such a way as not to clash with the opinions and directions of the patient's physician and to avoid emphasis because of the author's bias. From the reader's standpoint, it is largely successful in both respects.
