Abstract
This book's purpose is to provide parents with a useful discussion of the child's needs as he prepares for admission to the hospital. The admission procedure is fully explored both in regard to what might be expected from the hospital as well as in helpful hints to assuage the child's anxiety about what will happen to him when he becomes a hospital patient. The author correctly stresses the child's need to have something from home to gain comfort during his stay in the hospital.
