Abstract
We appreciate Dr. Mofenson's comments regarding our report on the Prevention of Injuries to Children in Automobiles. At the time this paper was submitted for publication, the Committee's notice had not been published, nor had the PAS pamphlet been distributed. But this is water under the bridge—better late than never.
The Accident Prevention Committee's suggestion regarding the necessity for more legislation in this area is an excellent one. Unfortunately, the pessimism revealed by Dr. Mofenson's comments about the effectiveness of health education may influence the pediatrician adversely.
