Abstract
Dr. Olurin commented as follows:
Dr. McEnery is of course entitled to his opinion about the innocence of high fevers with or without convulsions. There is ample evidence in the literature for and against his views and I would refer him to the references, 8, 12, 13, and 14 dealing with "febrile convulsions." I agree with him, however, that more basic research on fevers is necessary, and this hospital is hoping to partake in this.
