Abstract
The 1964-1965 Year Book of Pediatrics is one of the few annual publications most of us anxiously look forward to with ardent hopes of fulfilling our never ending desire to keep abreast of the increasing number and complexity of the pediatric literature. As we get farther away from our house officer days this quest becomes ever more elusive and each year the papers we read seem to acquire a more recondite tone. Somehow even skimming through the Year Book revives the feeling of once again being the resident who is one up on the attending physician.
