Abstract
Many of the readers of Pediatrics, especially those responsible for hospital newborn nurseries, have been aware of a transition to the practice of using the ready-to-feed milk mixtures now available for hospital neonates. A survey of this situation to date appeared in the January, 1965, Journal of the American Hospital Association. This was directed toward hospital administrators. So that the medical personnel associated with these nurseries may be equally and officially informed, we wish to inquire of the existing Committee on Nutrition of the AAP as to their recommendations for acceptance and control of such milk mixtures for hospital infants.
