Abstract
Dr. Gunnar Stickler's letter raises a number of controversial questions, none of which we will be able to answer satisfactorily. We suspect he knew this when he raised the questions. We described the facts and interpreted them with caution, not claiming that our opinions are the correct ones. On the other hand, Dr. Stickler's interpretations are not necessarily the right ones either. The following thoughts in response to Dr. Stickler's sticklers are not so much rebuttals as statements of some factors he didn't mention!
