Abstract
Anyone desiring a concise, authoritative and critical review of the present status (as of February, 1956) of vaccination against poliomyelitis will find this pamphlet useful. The difficult problems of safety testing of inactivated vaccine and their solution are dealt with in considerable detail. The final pages are devoted to immunization with living attenuated virus in discussions by its two principal proponents, Drs. Sabin and Koprosky.
