Abstract
Advances in Experimental Caries Research, a publication of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, represents a milestone in research publication in the field of dental caries, inasmuch as it is the first monograph devoted specifically to the information gained from research on the experimental production and prevention of dental caries in laboratory animals. The volume is based upon a symposium presented at the 1953 Boston meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. The twenty contributors to the book represent many disciplines including anatomy, pathology, zoology, biochemistry, nutrition, bacteriology and dentistry.
