Abstract
This brochure, which is already in the possession of most of the readers of this review, should not be ignored. To the pediatrician it is one of the most clinically useful of this Conference Report series. To those with special interest in pediatric cardiology it supplies information unobtainable elsewhere.
The delay of over a year between conference and publication which was necessitated by a painstaking editorial job has resulted in some loss of glamor. For example, human cross circulation in intracardiac surgery, new and sensational at the time of the conference, is already discarded by its proponents, in favor of the pump-oxygenator.
