We read with interest the article by Sumner et al titled “Cost-effectiveness of Epinephrine and Dexamethasone in Children With Bronchiolitis.”1 The study was based on duplication of data from a previous study that was a multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in which 800 patients from Canadian academic centers were enrolled and was designed to determine the efficacy of nebulized epinephrine and oral dexamethasone for the treatment of patients with bronchiolitis in an “outpatient” setting.2 The authors stated: “For simplicity we based all of our costs on 1 center in Ontario: the Children's Hospital of …
