    Admission because of febrile seizures in relation to infections caused by influenza A and other respiratory viruses in (A) 1997 and (B) 1998 . The viruses denoted are ▪, influenza A;Embedded Image, influenza B; □, adenovirus;  Embedded Image, parainfluenza; ░, RSV; and negative nasopharyngeal aspirate. The number of all influenza A diagnoses made in the Queen Mary Hospital laboratory (–•–) on a monthly basis is provided to illustrate the seasonality of the influenza A infection. The microbiology laboratory at Queen Mary Hospital is the Hospital Authority reference laboratory for Hong Kong Island, and the number includes specimens from the whole region.
