This is an excellent text, recently revised, for those who are interested in modern play concepts for both children and adults. Considerable space is given to the play movements in this country and abroad, an explanation of several theories of play, and a general classification. There are several chapters devoted to the physical, mental, emotional and social growth of children through organized and free play.
The author has emphasized the relationship that play has with the educational and cultural improvement of the community.
