I have read the article by dr. Huang et. al. with much interest. In
their excellent
study the authors have found that sodium hypochlorite baths can contribute
to
improvement of atopic dermatitis. However, I assume that the authors have
made an error in calculating the final sodium hypochlorite concentration.
In order to follow their therapy I have calculated the amount of
sodium
hypochlorite which is needed for different bath dimensions. Thereby I have
found that the proper final concentration of sodium hypochlorite should be
0.003%, and not 0.0005%. The fact that this concentration is too low, may
lead
to treatment failures.
