Re: Error on quoting reference

There is an important error in quoting a reference in this paper which risks being perpetuated and repeated in court. Langlois and Gresham showed in their 1991 paper that bruises with yellow colouring could only be more than 18hrs old. This appears as more than 48hours old in the introductory section of Bariciak et als paper. This inaccuracy marrs an otherwise helpful addition to the very small literature on this subject.

I thank Dr. Loretta Light for pointing out this proof-reading error on our part. Our reference to the study by Langlois and Gresham in the introduction should read "bruises that displayed yellow color were found to be >18 hours old" rather than ">48 hours old".
