Even I did come across a similar case.

1.5 yr old boy presented with all clinical features of rickets,

including bowing, wrist widening, double malleoli, open fontanelle. Rachitic rosary and hot cross bun skull.

On investigations: The Radiology showed characteristic cupping and splaying

Serum calcium was 10 mg%

serum ionic calcium 1.1 mmol/lit

serum alakaline phosphatase 10

Renal function tests and blood gas was normal.

There was no aminoaciduria nor there was any evidence of CRF or Wilsons disease.

can this be with rickets ?
