It is remarkable that about 80% of Israeli children are between the CDC 10th and 90th percentiles for weight (and BMI). Those percentiles are based on old American data and were intentionally not updated to reflect the recent epidemic of overweight and obesity in the US. I doubt if there is any population of US children where 80% of them would fall within those "normal ranges."
