As a doctor who tries to swab as much as I can, I am supprised by the
high incidence of new and recurrent Strep infections in the community.
Is this a sign of the reduced microbiological efficacy of Penicillin ?
Is this a sign that it is time to swich to other antibiotics ?

PERHAPS THERE HAS BEEN A MISCONCEPTION. THIS STUDY WAS A
MULTI SITE CLINICAL STUDY. IT WAS NOT A SINGLE COMMUNITY. I THINK THAT
THE LAST THREE PARAGRAPHS OF OUR PAPER DESCRIBE THE ISSUES THAT WE WANTED
TO BRING TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PEDIATRICIANS AND OTHER PRIMARY CARE
PHYSICIANS. IF THERE ARE ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW
DIRECTLY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INQUIRY.
