Campbell DB, Buie TM, Winter H, et al. Distinct Genetic Risk Based on Association of MET in Families With Co-occurring Autism and Gastrointestinal Conditions. PEDIATRICS 2009;123(3):1018–1024An error occurred in the article by Campbell et al, titled "Distinct Genetic Risk Based on Association of MET in Families With Co-occurring Autism and Gastrointestinal Conditions" published in the March 2009 issue of Pediatrics (doi: 10.1542/peds.2008-0819). On page 1018, in the "What This Study Adds" box, on line 2, a phrase was omitted from: "A MET gene variant was associated with co-occurring gastrointestinal conditions suggesting that disrupted MET signaling may contribute to both medical conditions in this subgroup." This should have read: "A MET gene variant was associated with autism in individuals with co-occurring gastrointestinal conditions, suggesting that disrupted MET signaling may contribute to both medical conditions in this subgroup."
