Lee JM, Appugliese D, Kaciroti N, Corwyn RF, Bradley RH, Lumeng JC. Weight Status in Young Girls and the Onset of Puberty. PEDIATRICS 2007;119:e624–e630.

Errors occurred in the article by Lee et al, titled "Weight Status in Young Girls and the Onset of Puberty," published in the March 2007 issue of Pediatrics Electronic Pages(doi:10.1542/peds.2006-2188). In the Methods section on page e625, column 2, under the heading "Puberty Measures," paragraph 3, lines 7–8, the authors wrote: "Because physical examination did not include breast palpation in this study... " It should read: "Because physical examination did not include breast palpation until 10.5 years of age in this study... " On page e629, column 1, paragraph 2, lines 1–3, the authors wrote: "Neither our study nor the study by Davison et al9 used breast palpation for assessing puberty on physical examination." It should read: "Similar to the study by Davison et al,9 our study did not use breast palpation for assessing puberty on physical examination at 9.5 years of age, although palpation was performed for girls starting at 10.5 years of age."
