An error occurred in the article by Clark et al, titled "A Randomized, Controlled Trial of Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, and Codeine for Acute Pain Relief in Children With Musculoskeletal Trauma," published in the March 2007 issue of Pediatrics (doi:10.1542/peds.2006-1347). On page 462, Data Analysis section, lines 8–11, the authors wrote: "Categorical outcomes (such as adequate analgesia achieved) were compared using
2 tests or Fisher's exact tests when necessary." It should read: "The number of patients achieving adequate analgesia was stratified for baseline VAS score (below or above 30 mm) and compared using study groups using a McNemar 3-way test. Other categorical outcomes (such as occurrence of adverse events or effects) were compared using
2 tests or Fisher's exact tests when necessary."
