Ganz ML, Tendulkar SA. Mental Health Care Services for Children With Special Health Care Needs and Their Family Members: Prevalence and Correlates of Unmet Needs. PEDIATRICS 2006;117:2138–2148.

A number of errors appear in the article by Ganz and Tendulkar titled "Mental Health Care Services for Children With Special Health Care Needs and Their Family Members: Prevalence and Correlates of Unmet Needs" published in the June 2006 issue of Pediatrics (doi:10.1542/peds.2005-1531).

  1. The labels for "Usually stable" and "Changes all the time" were inverted on Table 2 (see Corrected Entries in Table 2). No changes in the text are required due to this error.
  2. Because of the inverted labeling for those two variables, the odds ratios for those variables were incorrect in Table 3. We re-estimated the models displayed in Table 3 (see Corrected Table 3). This does, however, require a correction to the text. The second to last sentence in the Results section on page 2144 should now read as follows: "However, relative to usually stable conditions, family members of CSHCN with unstable conditions (changing all of the time) are more likely to experience unmet needs for mental health care services."
  3. The odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals for both private and public insurance in both models in Table 3 were misreported. The correct values are 0.73 (0.46–1.16) and 2.50 (1.57–3.99). No changes in the text are required due to these errors.
