An error appeared in the article by Baxter et al, titled "Local Anesthetic and Stylet Styles: Factors Associated With Resident Lumbar Puncture Success" that was published in the March 2006 issue of Pediatrics (doi:10.1542/peds.2005-0519). On page 877, the first sentence of the last paragraph of the Study Sample Population portion of the Methods section, the authors wrote: "Local anesthetics available during the study period included lidocaine, a eutectic mixture of local anesthetics (EMLA LMX4; Ferndale Laboratories, Ferndale, MI), and a 4% liposomal formulation of lidocaine (AstraZeneca, Wilmington, DE)." It should have read as follows: "Local anesthetics available during the study period included lidocaine, a eutectic mixture of local anesthetics (EMLA; AstraZeneca, Wilmington, DE), and a 4% liposomal formulation of lidocaine (LMX4; Ferndale Laboratories, Ferndale, MI)."
