Clinical Trial Registration to Be Required by Pediatrics
Editor, Pediatrics,
Burlington, VT 05405-0068
The International Committee of Medical Journal Editors has recommended and will require that all randomized, controlled trials be registered for publication in their journals.1 We agree, and this will be a requirement for publication of trials in Pediatrics. This requirement will apply to any clinical trial starting enrollment after July 1, 2005.
The registry to be used is sponsored by the US Library of Medicine. It is free and satisfies all the requirements of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors.1,2
