During 1998, Pediatrics
celebrated its 50th anniversary year, a significant but not unusual
anniversary for a modern journal. Now, in 1999, its current editor is
celebrating another, perhaps more remarkable anniversary of his own
a
25th anniversary as editor.
There have been four editors of Pediatrics over the last 50+
years, and Jerry Lucey's tenure more than doubles that of any other.
Like the other editors (Clement Smith, Charles May, and Hugh
McColloch), Jerry has witnessed remarkable developments from his
vantage point, and has guided Pediatrics
