Childhood Lead Poisoning From Apple Cider

To the Editor.

We report an unusual case of childhood lead poisoning. The Vermont Department of Health received a report of an asymptomatic 7-year-old child with a blood lead level of 33 µg/dL (repeat venous sampling showed 36 µg/dL). The family lived and worked on a vegetable farm in a rural area.
