To the Editor.
This letter is in response to the article "Excess Fruit Juice Consumption by Preschool-aged Children Is Associated With Short Stature and Obesity" published in the January 1997 issue of Pediatrics.
After reviewing the study, I believe this is a classic example of
conclusions drawn by statistical treatment of inadequate or incomplete
data. The study does not successfully establish cause and effect, does
not reflect the activity level,
