THE END OF AUTHORITY-BASED MEDICINE

. . . Practicing evidence-based medicine will increase doctors' authority, because power comes from knowledge, and they will know more and be more up-to-date. The minority of clinicians who have simply used status as a means of gaining authority are going to be in serious trouble.
