Bringing Scholarship to the Courtroom

In this issue there is a commentary by Dr Gary McAbee on the US Supreme Court rules on expert testimony.1 Dr McAbee has chosen to discuss the matter of expert witness testimony. The basis for his discussion is the recent US Supreme Court decision on the proper standard for admissibility of scientific evidence in the courtroom.
The decision of the court involved the evaluation of testimony provided in a Bendectin lawsuit, Daubert v Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals.1,2
