BRITAIN TO PROBE CLINIC THAT ALLOWS COUPLES TO CHOOSE INFANT'S GENDER

LONDON—The Health Department said yesterday it would investigate a private clinic that allows would-be parents to determine their baby's sex.

The London Gender Clinic, which opened on Thursday, charges couples $980 to use a technique that isolates the sperm that produce the desired sex so it can then be implanted into the woman.
