Birt Harvey, MD, Associate Editor of Pediatrics

Dr Birt Harvey, past president of the American Academy of Pediatrics (1989 to 1990) and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Stanford University and The University of California at San Francisco, has been appointed the new Associate Editor of Pediatrics.

Birt has a rich background in practice and academic medicine in addition to his recent practical learning experience as President of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He knows the problems of pediatric practice in addition to having insight into the changing big picture as pediatricians face the government, insurance companies, and health maintenance organizations in the 1990s.
