To the Editor.
In a letter to Pediatrics Cunningham1 suggested that there might be methodologic problems with the study of urinary tract infection and circumcision by Wiswell et al.2 Wiswell responded with further retrospective data.3,4 In an effort to shed more light on this subject, I have collected data on all cases of infants younger than 1 year of age with urinary tract infection admitted to Northwest Region Kaiser Foundation Hospitals from 1979 through 1985.
