What is my least favorite aspect of pediatric practice? Easy. It's the boredom stemming from endless repetition of the same basic informaton. That information, for the most part, is a variation of the theme: "This symptom or physical finding is within the range of normal and will not impair your child's health." I usually put it less politely. During the winter months I cannot stand to listen to myself explain for the n'teenth time that we have no effective measures to treat colds or eliminate coughs.
