Cutis Laxa, Ligamentous Laxity, and Delayed Development

To the Editor.—

Sakati and colleagues, at the end of their article state that "All of these observations raise the possibility that the disorder is determined by a gene on the X chromosome which is expressed as an X-linked lethal gene in the hemizygous male and as this syndrome in the heterozygous female."

Our experience following up eight children in five Saudi families from the same area in Central Saudia Arabia compels us to disagree with that speculation.
