ACUTE HEMOLYTIC ANEMIA RELATED TO NAPHTHALENE
Report of a Case in a Newborn Infant
1 The Departments of Pathology of the Children's Hospital, and the University of Southern California School of Medicine, Los Angeles.
A case of acute hemolytic anemia in a newborn infant apparently due to naphthalene poisoning is reported. It is thought that absorption through the oiled skin occurred following repeated exposure to diapers which had been stored in naphthalene mothballs and moth crystals.
