We described two related male patients whose chorea heralded the onset of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and reviewed in tabular form well-documented reports of 34 other patients with chorea and SLE from the world's literature including four reports not previously reviewed elsewhere.1 Since publication several additional instances of the coincidence of chorea and SLE have been personally called to my attention, suggesting it is more common than previously suspected. One report published in considerable detail by Vaccaro and Biscatti,2 was overlooked and is now cited; Their patient (case 23b in our Table 1) was a 9-year-old girl whose chorea appeared about four months after the first signs of SLE.
