Intravesical Chemical Cauterization and Methemoglobinemia

This case is another tragic reminder that remedies that have been used successfully in older children or adults may be inappropriate or even hazardous in an infant or a small child. Great care must be exercised whenever a potentially noxious substance is instilled into the bladder of an infant.
